STOKE CHASERS
A STORY ABOUT BREAKING THE MOLD
Many young girls are subtly taught to observe rather than engage, perpetuating the belief that they are fragile and weak. "Stoke Chasers" challenges this perception, urging women to defy the notion of passive observation and to sever the link between femininity and fragility. Breaking through the unspoken barriers of the male-dominated surf and skate world, the film celebrates women as integral members of a distinct yet interconnected community.
The documentary prompts a crucial question: "What if strength were instilled in us from the start?" It envisions a community where girls are not content with merely watching but are actively involved. While risk is often stereotypically associated with masculinity, "Stoke Chasers" reminds us that beneath the surface, we all share the same vulnerability—skin and bones that can break and bruise when confronted with challenges.
Join us on a journey that challenges stereotypes, empowers women, and envisions a world where strength is not limited by gender. "Stoke Chasers" invites you to question preconceptions and imagine a future where every girl is encouraged to be a fearless participant, not just a passive observer.
